A love of both photography and the Lakeland fells are my motivation and inspiration for making images. Successful landscape photography is all about patience and light. Whilst we can’t necessarily predict the light, half the battle is simply being there with a camera when conditions look promising.
I feel privileged to be able to earn a living doing something I thoroughly enjoy. If my photographs convey that passion then I will have succeeded with my photography.
For the technophiles I currently use a full frame Nikon Z8 (45.7mp) camera for the majority of my work. I also use drones for aerial work which I operate commercially in the 'Open A3 Category'.
I opened my own gallery in Keswick ‘Viewpoints’ in July 2009.
