A love of both photography and the Lakeland fells are my motivation and inspiration for making images. Successful landscape photography is all about patience and light. Whilst we can’t necessarily predict the light, half the battle is simply being there with a camera when conditions look promising.
Some may already know I had my own gallery 'Viewpoints' in Keswick for nearly 16 years. We closed this in April 2025 when my wife and I decided to retire. I am however still taking photographs and you can view and purchase them directly from this website. I feel immensely privileged to have been able to earn a living doing something I thoroughly enjoyed. Hopefully my photographs convey that passion.
For the technophiles I currently use a full frame Nikon Z8 (45.7mp) camera for the majority of my work. I also use drones for aerial work which I operate commercially in the 'Open A3 Category'.
